私は40過ぎて独身です。本当に辛い毎日を送っています。
つい先日も、こんな事がありました。
ある日、弟夫婦の14歳になる長女の下着類が一切合切盗まれるという事件が起きたのです。
あろうことか真っ先に疑われたのは私でした。
40歳過ぎて独身だというだけで血の繋がった実の弟からこの私が真っ先に疑われたのです。
肉親なのに。
ずっと一緒に育った兄弟なのに。
ただただ40過ぎて独身だというだけで実の兄である私が疑われたのです。
とても悲しいことです。
やりきれない気分です。

確かに盗んだのは私でした。

しかし、ここに至ってはそんなことは瑣末な事です。
論点が ずれています。
私が訴えたい事は“私が犯人だと決まってないうちに” 既に“私を疑っていた”という事実なんです。
つまり40歳で独身だと いう事は常に『気持ち悪い事をしでかすに違いない』という目で見られて いる、という現実なのです。
これではまさに冤罪の温床です。
我々40過ぎ 独身中年は常にそういった謂れ無き迫害に晒されながら毎日ﾋﾞｸﾋﾞｸして 生きて行かなければならないのでしょうか？
結局私が犯人だということが ばれ、弟は「もう、来ないでくれな」と悲しそうに言いました。
ですが 私はそんな弟を許す事はできません。
私が犯人だとばれる前から私を疑っていた、という事実は消えないからです。
